You've almost certainly seen references to the Nightly branch of Jomres in Jomres.net articles.
It's where I put changes that will eventually be added to the next release of Jomres Core. This gives you time to experiment with new features before they're added to Core, for example you may decide that you want to experiment with a new feature that has been released to see if it'll be good for you.
How do you do that?
Firstly, please don't do this on your live server. Use a
Staging server
.
To install the Nightly branch
- Go to Administrator > Jomres > Settings > Site Configuration.
- Go to the Debugging tab and change "Production or Development?" to Development
- Save
- Next go to Administrator > Jomres > Dashboard > Updates and click Update Jomres Now
That's it, that's all you need to do. Your installation will be running the latest version of Jomres Core.
Don't forget, afterwards, to set "Production or Development?" back to Production.
